1. LOVE YOURSELF!
Your journey begins here... Learn to love yourself! Celebrate your talents, your unique sense of style, your ambition, your strength, what you have overcome. Learn to focus on who you are and what you have versus what you may be lacking.

2. BE YOURSELF!
It's sounds cliche but it's true. Just be yourself! You are enough. Think about it... there's no one on this earth that is like you! You are the only version of yourself (on this planet anyway). If we were supposed to be copies of each other we would all be the same. There's a reason why we were all made different and for that reason alone how can their be a generic standard of anything? You are your own standard.
2. TUNE OUT THE NOISE!
In this instagram era of so-called "perfection" it is easy to become insecure, However you need to tune out the noise. Be specifc, It is important follow the bloggers, vloggers, celebrities, influencers etc that are similar to you as they are more likely able to help you build your confidence as you can relate to them - whether it be you share the same interests, style, body shape, complexion, height etc this tip can be extremely helpful.
3. COMPARISON IS THE THIEF OF JOY!
Stop comparing yourself to others!!! I can't express this enough, comparison is the thief of joy. You can compare yourself to someone from morning to night - it's not going to change the fact that you are you and they are them. The time you waste comparing is taking away from the time you should spend appreciating the best qualities about yourself.
***I challenge you to make a list of your best qualities (on your phone so you always have it on hand) and everytime you feel like comparing yourself to someone else or you are feeling insecure, read this list twice over.***
4. SELF-VALIDATION!
Be your own biggest fan! Believe in your slay and don't rely on validation from others. So your picture got 5 likes instead of 10, so WHAT! You liked it enough to post it, keep that same energy! self-validation is all that matters.
5. MAKE YOURSELF FEEL GOOD!
Treat yourself, do the little things that make you feel good. Get your hair or nails done, buy yourself a gift, go and get a massage,paint that portrait, write that poem, swim them metres, buy a ticket to go and see your favourite band, get a good nights sleep!
Learn to nuture yourself, do this stuff regularly, you don't need to wait for an occassion - doing what you love/ what you are good at regularly helps priotise yourself and inturn I believe helps to build your confidence.

I want you all to know that these tips have helped me so much and It's my pleasure to share them with you all. I have my insecurities, it's normal to have days where you don't feel your best. But I've learned and am learning that confidence comes from within.
